Other Thoughts:
We had a family business of printing and publication in Noida which suffered huge losses and we found ourselves in the job market. I wanted to go in for theoretical research in Physics and Cosmology but opted for MBA in the hope to revive this business but it was too little and too late.
Career Profile:
Currently I handle the Mortgage sourcing from open market as well as Cross Sell across all Branches of Kotak Mahindra Bank in Delhi/NCR. Major responsibility is to deliver a consistent business whilst ensuring budgeted profitability, quality and productivity of the sales team.
The Decisions That Matter
To join HDFC Sales (HDFC Ltd company) was a critical decision in 2004.I'm indebted to the learning which I had in HDFC(rightly called the leader in Mortgage sector) especially on the product side. I got the opportunity to build from scratch one of the strongest distribution network for HL sourcing.
Role Model:
I firmly believe that Role Models are for people who are not confident of themselves. I do not have any role models and would never like to emulate or become like someone rather I keep a look out for people I would definitely not like to become !!
Prized Accomplishment(s):
Establishing HDFC Ltd. distribution across the Gurgaon market, one of the most difficult markets to crack, has been an early highlight of my career. This encompassed empanelment of real estate brokers as connectors and ensuring door step services which catapulted HDFC as the leader in HF in Gurgaon.
Done Differently:
I joined ICICI as an offroll employee.Mine being the 2nd MBA batch to pass out of my University the job market was scarce & not having the requisite corporate exposure or understanding I opted for a job much below my level.This glaring gap thus created in my professional life is yet to be bridged.
Working Life Management:
It is said that the pressure is as much as you opt for or want to take on yourself. I adhere to this adage and follow a simple rule
