Contribution to the field
REEM BATTERIES & POWER APPLIANCES, my present employer is the very first Automotive Battery manufacturer in entire Middle East. As Divisional Head of Power Electronics Division I (almost)created this P.E. SBU since 2007. I like its Professionalism, Transparency and freedom to take decisions.
Marketing
Marketing is figuring out the Need of the Market (Customer), unlease, create the demand of the same and fulfilling the same by conceiving the right product and / or solution catering to that demand. I think Marketing is very important for any organization, in fact the very reason of its existence.

MBA, PMP, ISO Certification, General Education, Education in line with the technology of the Industry etc., Economics, Basics of Finance.
Future trend
Now a days for INDUSTRIAL Products its more of CONSULTATIVE SELLING AND RELATION-SHIP Based Marketing.
Differences
Selling is a part (in fact the last step) of MARKETING, which ensures the (best possible) Distribution / placement of the Products / Solutions and completes the Transaction with the Customer(s).
Importance of sales
Sales is very important in the Operation of any organization. Its extremely important as it ensures the final Transaction of the Products / Services to the Customer and generates Revenue and Business for the Organization which is the very reason of existence of the organization.
Importance of On line marketing
For many organization the On-Line Marketing would be very important, especially knowledge based industries, Fashion, Personal Prducts, Travel and Leisure, Financial / Commidity market etc. apart from many others.
Motivating
Assuring them that there is always a RAINBOW after a storm and rain. Also, looking at it otherwise, there can't be a RAINBOW without a RAIN and STORM (Sometimes).

Trade / Business Magazine, Daily Newspaper, Ad-Mags, Motivational Books etc. to read and also browse through similar sites.

Learn (Start) Dreaming, Anlayse People, their habits, needs (apparent, latent, perceived) very critically, likes and preferances. Develop skill to Build and Manage Relationships, Analytical skills, Problem Solving skills, People Skills, Communication Skills.

Motivating them, Guiding them to the industry, sectors, customers they should attack, resolving issues, problems they are facing, assisting them to find out new segments, new clients, Getting repeat, more business from existing clients etc.
Role in an organization
In my Current role I am the P&L Head of the SBU. Develop and spread Business and Network in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, Africa) region and also beyond (CIS, ASEA etc.). Managing the Sourcing items, modules, globally, integrating (local Assembly) and offering complete Power Solutions to clients.
Importance of Marketing
I am the Head of Department, so marketing is extremely important for me for survival and perpetuation of my department in the organization and the organization itself in turn.
