Bangalore: A sad story about unsuccessful marketing campaigns that all of us are familiar with. This has happened to all of us.

Here is the Story.

While launching the product, or presenting some new offer, we do all the right things. We create a constructive and expensive pre-launch content that creates all sorts of interest and attention.

Cautiously we expertise our messaging based on tested and scientific copywriting methods.

But we couldn't be more convinced that our product or service is what they want.

Then we do a grand opening, AND

Sales are Low. We make a few here and there, but this is something not expected.

So somewhere we went wrong.

The Problem:

We think we will do something that works, what's tested, proven and safe. Always keep in your mind that what is proven safe has been done. And the execution of that is yesterday's news.

Some Tips that are used to be effective:

video hype-machine launch :

It was useful, rare and exciting. But now they are noise.

Transparency:

It used to be unpredicted and captivating. Now it's just a baseline for not seeming like a complete douche bag.

Webinars:

This is common now days.

They are not effective now days. And adopted by masses and loses their effectiveness.

Doing something exceptionally:

There are very few players in the top of any industry and niche. Hardwok is the reason for their success but apart from that they are never afraid to be the first and do something uniquely.
One example for trailblazing marketing is Curves. Instead of opening same boring gym they opened a fitness center for women especially to give them proper shapes and curves.

What Takes to be number one:

Probably we are thinking: 'I can't afford to take those kinds of risks and not have things work out.'

Being a pioneer can mean a lonely road, and it's scary to not have data and charts to back up your theories. And when you need things to work, it's hard to take risks.

Words on Breaking Rules:

It is not difficult to get starry-eyed talking about breaking the rules and creating marketing campaigns that have never existed before. You may think of ditching all traditional education and throw out your entire library of marketing training which is incredibly dumb.
