Bangalore: Marketing professionals are the happiest office workers in the UK, reveals a new study commissioned by Mars Drinks UK.

The survey was conducted on more than 2000 male and female office workers from sectors including marketing, creative, legal, finance and IT.

It showed that 60 percent of the polled marketers were happy where they worked, while only 2 percent said they hated their current job.

The research also revealed that marketing professionals were on average more likely to get along with their co-workers, with only 0.67 conflicts occurring in a typical day, compared to others who had disagreements with their colleagues 1.06 times daily.

Jenni Morgan, trade marketing manager for Mars Drinks UK was quoted saying "Our results also show that we are working longer hours than ever before but this has not dented our enjoyment of the job," as reported by Marketing Week.

Marketing professionals spend a total of ten minutes and 56 seconds on checking Facebook and Twitter during office hours, compared to the national average of eight minutes, while nine minutes and nine seconds is spent reading personal emails which is two minutes more than the national average.
