The State Bank of India (SBI), which is the largest commercial bank in the country, has recently announced a partnership with the famous cricket player, Mahendra Singh Dhoni. SBI has appointed him as their official "Brand Ambassador" for a fee of 6 crore. In this role, MS Dhoni will be responsible for playing a central role in the bank's various marketing and promotional initiatives.

SBI highlighted Dhoni’s remarkable ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations and his well-known skill for making clear and quick decisions under stress, which aligns with SBI’s values and aims to connect with customers and stakeholders across the nation.

Dinesh Khara, Chairman of SBI, expressed enthusiasm about this partnership. He stated, “We are pleased to onboard MS Dhoni as Brand Ambassador of SBI. Mr. Dhoni’s association with SBI as a satisfied customer makes him a perfect embodiment of our brand’s ethos. With this partnership, we aim to reinforce our commitment to serving the nation and our customers with trust, integrity, and unwavering dedication".

During an event in Bengaluru, Dhoni shared a personal insight revealing that he had a premonition of his retirement from international cricket during the 2019 ICC Men’s ODI World Cup semifinal, which happened to be his last match for Team India. It's worth noting that Dhoni has been recently appointed as the brand ambassador for JioMart, a venture by Reliance Industries Limited. In 2023, he has already endorsed several companies and products, including Oreo, India Cements, Dream11, and Reebok.
